Artists: Ad Minoliti, Cecilia Bengolea, Ghislaine Leung, Hao Liang, Irena Haiduk, Jenna Sutela, Jesse Darling, Laure Prouvost, Claudia Comte, Mire Lee, Dora Budor, Pamela Rosenkranz, Cheng Xinyi, Allison Janae Hamilton, Victoria Sin, Art Labor, Brook Hsu, Huang He, Chelsea Culprit, Cecilia Vicuña, Tan Jing, Nicole Wermers, Devin Kenny (AKA Devin KKenny, AKA dkyk), Zhao Yao, Mountain River Jump!, Lisa Naftolin with Alex McLeod, and Wong Kit YiCurated by Passing Fancy (X Zhu-Nowell and Frederick Cruz Nowell with the support of Elise Armani).Works in this exhibition leak, drip, sprout, repeat:, require translation, stain, secrete; utter, stutter, reflect, and glow, “wet everything,” and wiggle. These are projects that grow, in different ways, from questions that, in earlier incarnations, were directed to feeling and form. Grouping these works together has also encouraged the growth of the exhibition structure, so we’ve decided to cultivate it like a garden. There will be no opening ceremony, and the show will unfold in different phrases starting in the summer, throughout the fall, and into the following year.

Huang He graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, now lives and works in Foshan. In 2016, she founded artist-duo Mountain River Jump! with her twin sister Huang Shan. Her interest is mainly about how individual narrations crash into collective narrations in the context of “China”. Her works could be referred to sound improvisation, visual & lingual narrations and the archaeology of human’s mind. Huang He literally means the Yellow River in Chinese.Mountain River Jump! is an artist duo founded in 2016 by twin sisters Huang Shan and Huang He, who were born in 1985. The duo has a variety of creative formats in art, often applying "divination consulting" as a performance to examine the potential of such art medium, and to interact with the audience at the intrinsic level. With their studies into Oriental mysticism and folklore, the artists pry open the topics of identity politics, labor issues, feminism, life politics, modernity and others. They pay attention to the embodiment of mythological clues in a daily context, attempting to carry out "psychoanalysis" of the reality, and reflecting on the materialist culture within modern China and its psychological status. Huang Shan and Huang He presently work and live in Foshan, Guangdong.
