Zengxin joined Caixin in 2009 when it was founded. He has been US bureau chief, deputy international desk chief, editor of macroeconomics team, before joining Caixin Global, a subsidy of Caixin Media as deputy general manager.
Zengxin has more than 10 years of experience reporting on macro/international economics coverage. He leads Caixin reporters on international events such as IMF annual conference, G20 and Davos forums in reporting, organizing and presenting Caixin events and seminars. He also leads in Caixin Global Intelligence programs that provides insight for our clients.
Zengxin has been working for Caijing Magazine from 2008 to 2009, as a macroeconomics reporter and US correspondent, before joining Caixin. Previously he worked for China Daily webisite and the New Oriental Technology and Education Group. He graduated from Unversity College London with a MSc in Economics.

Zhuocun (Kevin) Lin graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Administration from School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University. He used to work in financial sector in China for more than ten years, and accumulated deep understanding of Chinese financial system, practices and regulations.
Kevin joined Tuspark S&T Service Group in 2016, the leading industrial investor and S&T service provider, as Vice-President in charge of international investment and collaborations.He is currently leading Tuspark UK team to manage two science parks in the UK, promote Sino-UK technology businesses communications, and invest in health care, new energy, AI and high-end manufacture.
Tomi Ma
FDI Director in South China for Invest Northern Ireland
Tomi is based in the British Consulate-General in Guangzhou, with main responsibility of promoting the investment propositions of Northern Ireland in China, and raise the region’s awareness as an ideal investment destination to Chinese businesses. He is also in collaboration with the wider INI team in China to promote Northern Ireland’s capability in technology and innovation in South China.
Tomi has over seven years’ experience in promoting UK-China commercial collaborations. Prior to this role, Tomi worked in the Department for International Trade as the Senior Trade and Investment Officer, leading on key business events and ministerial level visits in South China. Tomi worked closely with different sector teams to identify trade and investment opportunities and coordinate cross sector projects, and served as the Outward Direct Invest (ODI) Pilot Programme Lead in China in 2018.
Roger Marsh OBE
Chair of the Leeds City Region Enterprise and Chair of NP11
Roger Marsh OBE has been Chair of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) since 2013 and during that time has led the LEP through a period of significant transformation, including securing the country’s largest ever Local Growth Deal with Government.
Roger is also a Member of the Williams Rail Review Expert Challenge Panel and Chair of both the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund Strategic Oversight Board and European Structural & Investment Fund Local Sub Committee.
Before joining the LEP, Roger was Senior Partner at PwC and boasts over 30 years’ experience in the private sector. In 2015, he was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list for Services to Business and the Economy, and in 2019 he became the Deputy Lieutenant for West Yorkshire.
Christine Zhang

Christine’s role focuses on foreign direct investment, providing strategic advice and support to Scottish companies and foreign investors. Her in-depth knowledge derived from investing in Asia emerging markets for years. Coupled with language, local and intercultural competence, this has led to considerable expertise in identifying business opportunities and building connections.
Christine is an experienced investor for Asia emerging market equities with nearly 15 years’ experience in the Investment Industry in Scotland working for Baillie Gifford and Martin Currie. She began her career in auditing with Ernst & Young in China and held a Management Accountant role in British Energy. Christine holds her CFA Levels I&II and holds a degree Accounting together with a fully accountancy qualification.

As HMTC for China, John Edwards will lead on export promotion, inward and outward investment, and trade policy overseas on behalf of the UK government. His work will include developing and delivering a regional trade plan setting out the Department for International Trade’s ("DIT") priorities in important global markets.
This session (19 June 5:15 PM CST) will provide an opportunity for CBBC members and those joining the UK-China Business Week 2020 to hear from John on his approach to his new role, to understand DIT’s priorities going forward, and to ask questions.

John was one of the 9 Trade Commissioners appointed by the British government to promote the UK in important global markets. As the head of the Department for International Trade in China, John is in charge of all bilateral trade issues and works closely with Her Majesty’s Ambassador in Beijing to promote UK trade and prosperity.
John has 25 years of experience working for the UK government, with more than half of that time spent in China including as HM Consul General in Shanghai (2015-19) and Minister Counsellor at the British Embassy (2012- 15).
In his previous roles in China, John has led teams across China dealing with science and innovation, energy, climate change and health policy. As Consul General in Shanghai he was responsible for the trade and investment relationship across East China. In his most recent role as Deputy Trade Commissioner he was responsible for the advanced manufacturing, Tech, education, life sciences and healthcare sectors.
Outside of China, John was the speechwriter for three Foreign Secretaries and was the Deputy Consul General in Jerusalem. John graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Ancient and Modern History.

Wu Chen is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Fosun London office, contribute to the on-going successful operation of portfolio businesses in the region and lead on engagements with its stakeholders.
Prior to Fosun, Wu Chen was a Deputy Director at the Great Britain China Centre, a Foreign Office NDPB working with UK and Chinese actors in advancing political dialogue, judicial reforms and the Rule of Law. Wu Chen also served at various research, regional business development & management functions at the China-Britain Business Council in London, Southwest of England and Shanghai over a period of 9 years. Wu Chen is a BA and Msc Economics & Finance graduate from the University of Manchester.

Graham joined Vaccitech as Chief Business Officer in October 2017. Previously he was COO and co-founder of Agalimmune Limited, a clinical stage Biotech developing directly administered immunotherapies for oncology indications.
Graham qualified as a solicitor in London in 2005, before moving to co-found technology company MET, which was subsequently sold to a group of private investors. He was an investment fund manager at Matrix Securities and then worked for 9 years as an operator and investor to develop a portfolio of life sciences companies held by Animatrix Capital LLP.
Graham’s focus has been on operating and developing early stage products and companies targeting the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and infectious diseases. One of these was Agalimmune, where Graham led the licensing, funding and development of a novel cancer immunotherapy and played a lead role in the company’s successful sale to NASDAQ-listed BioLineRx in 2017.
Graham holds a BA Hons degree in Law with French from Newcastle University.

Elsa is an Executive Director at GP Bullhound. Based in Hong Kong, and with more than 14 years of cross-border and cross-market M&A and capital market experience, Elsa is expanding the firm’s Asia and especially China outreach.
Before joining GP Bullhound, Elsa led the cross-border M&A effort at China Renaissance, where she brought together high quality overseas internet, media and technology startups and Chinese strategic and financial investors in over 12 transactions totaling $6bn. Before China Renaissance, Elsa worked at HSBC in Hong Kong and Shanghai, Lazard in Beijing, and Goldman Sachs in New York.
Elsa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Economics from Mount Holyoke College (magna cum laude).

Originally from the US, he is a Mandarin speaker with five years of experiencing living in China. Having worked for a multi-national real estate company and then a Chinese investment management firm in Beijing, he understands the complexities of doing business in China and how Chinese investors look at investment opportunities. Prior to moving to China, he was the Director of Asset Management for a leading industrial real estate investor in Chicago and received a BA in Economics from Reed College.

He is a Bilingual China-born British citizen, having 18 years of client-facing work experience in Mainland China, Hong Kong and the UK across various sectors and diversified business functions with an in-depth knowledge of UK-China business collaborations.
Prior to joining the firm, Ian held a number of senior roles in both British companies (British importer and British exporter) and Chinese corporates (Chinese state-owned conglomerate with over 500,000 employees, the 81st largest in the world and Chinese private family office with over 20,000 employees, within the top 50 richest in Asia).
Ian is well-connected within the C-suites of the Chinese corporate community as well as the Chinese high net worth individuals circle based in the UK.
He technically specialises in Corporate Finance, Strategic Alliance, Global Sourcing and Strategic Procurement, Corporate Governance and Internal Control.
