China-UK bilateral trade volume topped £100bn in 2019, reaching a record high of £104.5bn: this is attributed to many productive trade platforms, among which China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) is arguably one of the most important and well known for its long history, large scale, comprehensive exhibits, large-scale buyer attendance, wide distribution of buyers' source country and large business turnover. This year, as a result of the travel restrictions associated with Covid-19, the 128th Canton Fair will be organised online from 15th-24th October, with the 128th Canton Fair Promotion Webinar in the UK first held on 9th October.
Based on the complete success of the 127th Canton Fair which took place online from 25th-24th June, and which had attracted more than 1,800,000 exhibits from 26,000 Chinese and international exhibitors and displayed products via live marketing and facilitated the online negotiation of purchases: the 128th Canton Fair will continue to present a wonderful trade platform to companies worldwide, and the 128th Canton Fair Promotion Webinar in the UK will be the exclusive warm-up event for UK exhibitors. The following sectors are of high interest to the market according to the previous session:
Textile & Garments
