Mixed Pea Potato Veggies
-食材-
INGREDIENTS
150克 豌豆
150g peas
200克 土豆
200g potatoes
5-6朵 口蘑
5-6 mushrooms
100克 胡萝卜
100g carrot
少许 酱油
A bit of soy sauce
少许 姜黄粉
A small amount of turmeric powder
少许 胡椒粉
A small amount of pepper
少许 盐
A small amount of salt
-做法-
INSTRUCTIONS
把所有食材清洗干净,土豆、红萝卜去皮,土豆、红萝卜、口蘑切成小块,
Clean all ingredients, peel the potatoes and carrots, then cut them and the mushrooms into small pieces,
热锅加少量水和少许盐,加入土豆和胡萝卜煮10分钟左右,再加入豌豆和口蘑继续煮熟,并用少许酱油、姜黄粉和胡椒粉调味,即可。
Heat a pot with salted water, add potatoes and carrots, cook for about 10 minutes, then add peas and mushrooms, continue to cook, and season with soy sauce, turmeric powder and pepper.
另外,除了豌豆也可以用荷兰豆
Instead of peas you can also use snow peas.
吃饭也是一种修行
Self-cultivation in the habit of eating
想到我小时候其实以前对专注吃饭并不重视,边吃饭边看电视。
素食后开始更重视自己的饮食习惯。
When I was a child, I didn't pay much attention to focus on eating. I often watched TV while eating.
After becoming Vegan, I began to pay more attention to my eating habits.
我意识到了自己的心态经常不够专注,譬如虽然后来吃饭时不在做别的事情,但是心经常想到别的事情。因此,我开始了训练自己静下心更享受吃饭。
I realised that my mind is often not focused enough. For example, although I don't do other things while dining now, in my mind, I often think of other things. I began to train myself to calm down and enjoy eating more.
《论语·乡党》中有一句话讲“食不语,寝不言”,讲的就是这个问题,和也就是应该活在当下。
In the Analects of Confucius, there is a saying that "do not speak while eating, do not speak when going to sleep ", this is actually talking about living in the present.
《大学》中也言“心不在焉,视而不见,听而不闻,食而不知其味。”
Another Chinese Classic also said that "when you are absent-minded, although your eyes see in fact you are blind, although your ears hear in fact you are deaf, although eating food you do not know its taste."
前几年读了佛陀传一直让我影响非常深刻的一段讲:
“当你吃橘子的时候,你很清楚地知道自己在吃橘子。你可以全面地感受到橘子的香和甜。当你剥橘子的皮,你知道自己在剥它的皮;当你把一瓣橘子剥下来放进口里,你知道你是在把一瓣橘子剥下来放入口里;当你经验着橘子的芳香和美味时,你是察觉着你在经验那芳香美味”、“留心吃橘子的意思,就是要吃它时真正地与橘子接触和沟通,你的心没有思念着昨天或明天,只是全神贯注地投入这一刻。这时那橘子才真正存在。生活得念念留心专注,就是要活在当下,身心都投进此时此处”
A few years ago, I read a passage in the biography of Buddha,
"When you eat a tangerine, you know very well that you are eating a tangerine. You can fully feel the fragrance and sweetness of the tangerine. When you peel the tangerine, you know you are peeling it; when you put it into your mouth, you know you are putting it into your mouth; when you experience the fragrance and delicacy of the tangerine, you are aware that you are experiencing the fragrance and delicacy of a tangerine. "Pay attention to the meaning of eating a tangerine, that is, to really contact and communicate with the tangerine when you eat it, don’t miss yesterday or think of tomorrow, but just concentrate on this moment. Then the tangerine really exists. To live with mindfulness and concentration is to live in the present and put your body and mind here and now. "
又有一个故事讲
有一位学僧曾问禅师:“和尚最近怎么用功?”
禅师答:“饥来吃饭困来眠。”
学僧不解地问,“平常人不也吃饭睡觉?这也叫修行吗?”
禅师又答:“平常人吃饭时千般计较,不肯乖乖吃饭;睡觉时百般思索,不肯乖乖睡觉。”
There's another story
A monk once asked the Zen master, "How do you practice these days?"
The Zen master replied: "When I’m hungry I eat, when I feel sleepy, I sleep."
The monk asked, "Don’t ordinary people also eat and sleep? Is this also called practice? "
The Zen master also replied: "ordinary people use to think about other things when they eat; when they are going to sleep, they think about all kind of things."

纯净素
活在当下意味着自己的心足够清楚自己的意念在哪里,活在当下是身心灵的合一。
To live in the present means that one's mind knows where one's mind is. To live in the present is the unity of body and mind.
吃饭正是练习活在当下的好机会。
Eating mindfully is a great opportunity to practice living in the moment.
在吃饭时,静心止语,正身端坐,认真进食。
一小口一小口慢慢咀嚼慢慢吃,感受到食物的味道。
把心放在吃的食物上,与食物建立一种美好的链接,并享受其中带来的喜悦。
When eating, stop talking, sit upright and eat carefully.
Take a small bite, chew it slowly, and feel the taste of the food.
Put your mind on the food you eat, connect yourself with the food, and savour the joy it brings.
学习恭敬感恩食物
Learn to be respectful and grateful for food.
其实,很多人还是吃不饱, 甚至都没有东西吃;相比之下,我们每天能过有足够吃的是很幸福的。
In fact, many people still suffer from hunger; in contrast, we are very lucky to have enough to eat every day.
何况,一顿饭确实来之不易,从天地的奉献,农民的劳作、商人,司机、搬运者的付出,厨师的烹饪等等。
Every meal does not come easily, starting from the dedication of heaven and earth, the labour of farmers, businessmen, drivers, porters, cooks and so on.
因此,用心吃饭也是一份对食物的恭敬感恩。
Therefore, eating mindfully is also a form of respect and gratitude to food.

What is the relationship between me and the food I eat?
食物从哪里来?食物背后的故事我们了解吗?
Where does the food come from? Do we know the story behind our food?
食物与我们身心灵的健康有什么关系?

食物与我们生命有什么关系?
What is the relationship between our food and our lives?
在吃饭的身体想事情的心时…我是谁?我在哪里?
When the body is dining, and the mind thinks about other things at this moment: “Who am I?”, “Where am I?”
当食物被吸收、成为我们细胞、成为我们的一部分时,我又是谁?
Who am I when the food is absorbed into my cells and becomes a part of me?
