Admissions Assistant – University of Dundee, Beijing

The Role
The postholder will be responsible for for supporting the delivery of an effective, accurate and customer-focused service throughout the applicant journey from application to matriculation. The postholder is responsible for providing high levels of customer service through timely, accurate, customer-centric responses to enquiries from applicants and other external stakeholders across a number of different channels (by phone, email, social media, online, in person etc.), supporting our ambitions to deliver a best-in-class applicant experience. The role will also involve providing administrative support to the Admissions and Applicant Experience team, including: running reports; maintaining and updating applicant records; processing applications and contributing to reviews of admissions policies and entry requirements.
Main Responsibilities
To provide excellent customer service to all external stakeholders (in particular applicants, teachers, partners and agents), and provide timely, accurate and customer-focussed responses to enquiries across number of different channels (by phone, email, social media, online, in person etc.)

To undertake duties with meticulous attention to detail
To maintain appropriate databases throughout the admissions and recruitment cycle, including qualifications and scholarship databases
To accurately input data to the Student Management System and other databases
To check application forms for non-standard qualifications, disabilities, fraud etc. in line with Admissions policies
To accurately update and record decisions, scholarships, check qualifications and documents and update applicant records
To provide operational support in the receipt and processing of UCAS and Direct applications

Essential Criteria
Graduate, preferably from a UK University
At least 2-3 years' work experience in a customer-facing environment

Strategic Partnerships Manager China – University of Dundee, China
Location: Shagnhai
Package: Competitive salary range between RMB 16,000 – RMB 18,000 /month based on matched qualification and experiences
The Role
The University of Dundee (UoD) Global Partnerships Office (GP) plays a key role in the implementation of the International Strategy of the University and supports the Vice Principal, International and the academic Schools in the development of partnerships that primarily focus on learning and teaching collaborations but will also include broader development of the partnership to include research and staff exchange. GP provides support for a range of partnerships and projects including, pathways, articulations, joint awards, double degrees and offshore delivery of degree programmes.
We expect to have three major strategic partnerships active in China from late 2020 onwards, which at their peak will involve teaching over 1500 students. To ensure successful recruitment, relationship management, quality and contractual compliance on these major partnerships the University is looking to recruit staff in China to facilitate and co-ordinate this activity. We also wish to explore additional income generating opportunities.
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual for the post of Strategic Partnership Manager China to join the team. Reporting to the Director of the Global Partnerships Office and working closely with Legal, Quality Assurance & Standards, Recruitment & Admissions and External Relations teams you will be a key professional services link to our strategic partners. You will be responsible for enhancing the relationship between the UoD and its partners ensuring a win / win approach.
Principal Accountabilities
To manage and support the development of strategic partnership activity in China, in accordance with the UoD Internationalisation Strategy.
To work with the Director of the Global Partnerships Office, the Director of Quality and Academic Standards and the Director of Legal to ensure that partnerships meet UoD governance, quality assurance, compliance and contractual requirements.
To act as liaison for UoD Professional Services and academic Schools with strategic partner institutions.
To maintain and develop excellent working relationships and effective communication channels with UoD Professional Services, academic Schools and strategic partner institutions.
To update knowledge and understanding of the UK higher education landscape and legislation as they relate to partnership activity through working closely with colleagues in Professional Services and academic Schools.
To maintain an understanding of the Chinese higher education landscape and provide recommendations on models of partnership working.
To represent UoD on partnership activities, such as governance, oversight and marketing events.
To assist in the development and implementation of project plans for strategic partnerships in China.
To manage the Partnership Agreements with strategic partner institutions including:
work with GP to follow up with our partners to identify actions required to maximise the relationship;
agree, plan and support implementation of identified actions;
undertake visits to the partner;
arrange and provide support for Professional Services and to the partner;
provide advice on development of the relationship and communication with the partner;
support the review of the partnership by both the UoD and the partner institution to ensure it is sustainable;
ensure that partnership records are maintained.
The duties of the post outlined above are not exhaustive and the post-holder will be expected to be co-operative and flexible, undertaking such other duties as may reasonably be required of a member of staff in the UoD.
These duties will be subject to review in line with the changing requirements of the Global Partnerships Office and the UoD, and with the development needs of the post-holder as identified through the OSAR process.

The Role
The post - holder will be responsible for identifying, delivering and monitoring student recruitment opportunities through the development and implementation of a recruitment plan for target audiences in China; raising the profile of the University of Dundee and successfully helping to achieve the outcomes that advance the University’s international strategy. The post will include attending student recruitment events throughout China and enhancing the existing network of agents in the region.
Main Responsibilities
Organise and undertake recruitment visits across China primarily, SARs and other East Asian countries as and when required. This will include representing the University at exhibitions, educational institutions, pre-departure briefings and conversion events, and with agents and local partners.
Provide high quality market intelligence enabling the identification of new opportunities to optimise international student recruitment. Liaise with Senior International Officer and Student Recruitment Manager in relation to the development and implementation of the international student recruitment strategy. This should include but not limited to information on application trends, programme development and market conditions.
Working closely with Oxford International Education Group to support and promote International College Dundee.
Develop relationships with key International Schools across China and other countries in East Asia as and when required.
Relationship management of the university’s network of agent representatives in China. This would include developing strong and professional relationships with agents by doing regular office visits and delivering regular agent training.
