飞盘运动要进入东京奥运会了？

从世界联合会WFDF获悉，飞盘运动将有可能成为2020年东京奥运会的新增项目之一。

The World Flying Disc Federation is pleased to announce that it was accepted by the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games as one of 26 International Federation (IF) to be considered in round two as a potential additional sport on the Olympic Programme to be chosen by the hosts at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Recommendation 10 of Olympic Agenda 2020 approved by the IOC in December 2014 allows Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs) to make a proposal for the inclusion of one or more additional events on the Olympic Programme for that edition of the Olympic Games. This principle applies for the first time for the 2020 Olympic Summer Games and consequently the Tokyo Organisers had invited all IOC 33 recognised International Federations (IFs) with summer events to submit their application in the first round.

The selection procedure is set out to be fair and open and will conclude after two separate phases. The following key principles apply to the examinations of all the applications made by the Additional Event Program Panel. The additional event(s) should:
•  promote the Olympic Movement and values with a particular focus on youth;
•  add value to the Games by engaging new global audiences,
•  reflect the Tokyo 2020 vision, and
•  engage the Japanese Population.
The now published list of 26 applicant IFs will be examined by the Additional Event Program Panel of Tokyo 2020 based on evaluation criteria which were established by the IOC Executive Board during their meeting on 8 June 2015 as a guideline for OCOGs covering five main themes: Olympic proposal, value added to the Olympic Games, institutional matters, popularity, and business model. Tokyo’s final choice of events to be proposed to the IOC will be made by 30 September 2015. The final decision on which new event will feature in the Olympic Programme of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be made by the 129th IOC Session in Rio de Janeiro in August 2016.

“The World Flying Disc Federation has proudly and gladly accepted the invitation extended by the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to apply for inclusion of a Flying Disc sport at the 2020 Olympic Games as an additional event,” stated WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch. “This is a unique opportunity for WFDF, JFDA as our member association and all disc sports in Japan and Flying Disc sports globally. We are confident that we were able to make a compelling proposal given our youth appeal, value added through “spirit of the game,” gender equality, and rapid growth of the sport. We believe our great sport can be a positive contributor to the Olympic Games and are excited about the prospects to be in a dialogue for consideration.”

去年12月，国际奥委会通过了“奥林匹克议程2020”，赋予了主办城市额外新增一个或多个比赛项目的权利。东京奥运会成为第一个“吃螃蟹”的。东京奥组委官员武藤敏郎指出他们选择项目的标准有三，“在年轻人中广受欢迎、能推动东京奥运会的举行以及符合国际奥委会的标准。”其中无需新建场馆的项目将握有入围先机。

我们也很幸运的发现，飞盘运动非常符合东京奥组委本次的选择标准。而且，飞盘运动在日本的推广相当的成功，2012年日本飞盘协会JFDA成功在界市组织过一次飞盘世界杯（极限飞盘赛和勇气飞盘赛），日本代表队还获得女子组的冠军，这对飞盘运动及其精神在当地的认知会有一个相当大的提升。另外，2014年JFDF成功获得日本奥委会的认可，这些都非常有利于飞盘运动竞争这次的新项目。

最后，我们祝愿在WFDF和JFDA的共同努力下，飞盘运动能成功的成为2020东京奥运会的项目，让其独特的魅力展示在全世界运动爱好者的面前，更进一步在全世界普及飞盘运动。

原文并没有提及极限飞盘（Ultimate），而是飞盘运动（Flying Disc），但目前最受认可和最有可能进入奥运会的就是极限飞盘（Ultiamte），所以小编有理由相信这只是为了利于申请，WFDF和JFDA采用了更容易被认知的flying disc这个单词。
