Suspect in Stabbing, Fatal Hit and Run Found Dead by Beijing Pol
The man suspected of stabbing five people before hitting and killing one person with his van was found dead on Monday, China Daily reports. Wang Shanwen, 38, reportedly committed suicide three hours after police posted a reward of RMB200,000 (USD29,600) to anyone who could provide information leading the suspect’s arrest, Beijing News reports.

Beijing police had been conducting a manhunt
since the attack occurred in the suburban district of Miyun on Sunday.
Wang allegedly stabbed five people with a pair of scissors. He
reportedly fled the scene in his van in an attempt to escape and plowed
into a group of people. Eight were injured in the hit and run and one
was killed.
The injured were immediately taken to the hospital where they were treated, Xinhua reported Sunday.
