A photographer is launching a new book featuring 100 touchingimages showing the loving bond between young children and theirenormous dogs.

The series of pictures shows breeds such as Great Danes andNewfoundlands towering over toddlers - highlighting their mutuallove for each other.

The extraordinary collection will feature in a book called ’LittleKids and Their Big Dogs’ - which is all down to the work ofphotographer Andy Seliverstoff.

Andy, 58, has so far spent four months taking pictures around St.Petersburg, Russia, and hopes to show big dogs are just as friendlyas smaller breeds with children.

He said: ’It’s very difficult to say if big breeds get a bad name,because all dogs are very different.

We only took photos with dogs that have a stable mind and goodtemperament, as these dogs are open to bonding with both people andchildren.

Dad-of-one Andy, from St. Petersburg, has a five-year-old BrindleGreat Dane called ’Orchidea MonAmour’ - meaning ’orchestrate mylove’ in English.

Andy posted the photos on social media, along with a set he took ofNewfoundland ’Ringo’ and child Theo, who was just three years old -and people loved it.

The main priority with these photos wasn’t just to make beautifulpictures, but to also show how children and their big dogscommunicate and make contact with each other.’

Some of the photos in the series feature the dog’s owner’sgrandchildren, or even children of friends.
