Art, fashion, and heritage. Creative Director Sabato De Sarno revealed the Cruise 2025 collection at London’s Tate Modern, a space that connects different people with culture, a diverse and unique arena for exchange, for unexpected juxtapositions and unanticipated rendezvous. The same was true of The Savoy hotel for Guccio Gucci, who was inspired by his experience there more than a century ago. Discover more https://lnkd.in/dXeqJMga #GucciCruise25 #GucciLondra

Today, at The Nature in the City forum in Singapore, Kering announced its academic partnership with the National University of Singapore. This three-year research collaboration with the business school’s Centre of Governance and Sustainability (CGS) will focus on nature-related reporting and climate transition plans of companies across the Asia-Pacific region. On stage, Kering’s Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer, Marie-Claire Daveu, stated: “At Kering, we believe in the power of collective action as seen through our robust network of partners in several regions around the world. I am proud to announce our partnership with CGS at NUS Business School, which combines academic rigor, research expertise, and real-world experience – key levers for a successful impact. The sustainability challenges we face today are complex, and by partnering with an outstanding university renowned for its expertise in sustainability topics, we are exemplifying the Group’s commitment to collaborate with partners on the Asia-Pacific region’s sustainability journey”. Kering and the Institut français Italia came together for the first time during the 2024 'Notte delle Idee’ (Night of Ideas), promoted by the French Embassy in Italy. An evening full of debates, round tables, screenings and installations inside the beautiful Palazzo Farnese in Rome earlier this week. The evening centered on the theme, 'Climate Challenges. It's time to change', was created with the aim of addressing various issues related to sustainable transition and discussing possible solutions. Scholars, experts, leaders, as well as activists, students, and artists were invited to share reflections, actions and commitments, between Italy and France, through exchanges with the public and interviews in different spaces of the Palace. Taking part in the panel titled 'Which limits to growth?', Kering Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer Marie-Claire Daveu, detailed Kering's key concrete actions in all areas of its business inseparable from that of the natural world. "We need nature to produce high-quality products: cashmere to make clothes, gold and precious stones for our jewelry, water and hides in tanneries to produce leather bags and shoes, flowers for our perfumes. It is not possible to think of infinite growth in a world where resources are limited. This is the meaning of the commitment that Kering has made to reduce its GHG emissions (scope 1 to 3) by 40% in absolute terms by 2035 and on a 2021 basis, regardless of sales and on a 2021 basis, regardless of sales and revenue growth." - Marie-Claire Daveu. Kering and the Festival de Cannes are proud to present the 2024 Women In Motion Emerging Talent Award to Malaysian filmmaker, Amanda Nell Eu, selected by Swiss director and 2023 Emerging Talent awardee Carmen Jaquier. Since 2019, the preceding Award winner views a selection of first feature films and chooses a promising female director to follow in her footsteps and receive this prize, which includes a grant of €50,000 to support the creation of her next film project.  The presentation will take place during the official Women In Motion dinner in Cannes, where Dame Donna Langley DBE Chairman of the NBCUniversal Studio Group and Chief Content Officer, will receive the Women In Motion Award. Both awards will be presented by François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of Kering, Iris Knobloch, President of the Festival de Cannes, and Thierry Frémaux, General Delegate of the Festival de Cannes. “I am incredibly honored to receive this award, and I want to give an extra thank you to the super bold director Carmen Jaquier. Thank you also to Women In Motion; I am already so grateful that I get to have my voice and use it and express it in a way that is free to me, so to receive this recognition is really special. Thank you to the big Tiger family – everyone involved in putting together Tiger Stripes – I think this film is a representation of the freedom that I am talking about and our potential to be beautiful bad-ass creatures in this world, if we can love, accept and listen to each other more.” - Amanda Nell Eu. On her decision to pass the torch to Amanda Nell Eu, Carmer Jaquier added: "Upon discovering the wild energy emanating from Tiger Stripes, I felt joy and remembered certain strange and violent tales from my childhood. Thanks to the rebellious power of its protagonist and its staging tinged with tragicomic elements, Amanda Nell Eu disrupts the ‘coming of age’ genre and delivers a jubilant, unique film. She reminds me that cinema is a place of invention, of insolence, and it is a great honor to pass this award on to her.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eNwmwv6d #WomenInMotion #Cannes2024
