Happy Chinese New Year!
In the fall of 2000, Fort Hays State University became the first American university approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education to offer a bachelor’s degree in mainland China. Since then, the program has graduated over 6,000 Chinese students through its partner universities, Sias International University/西亚斯国际学院 and Shenyang Normal University/沈阳师范大学. There are approximately 3,200 students currently taking FHSU classes in China. These international partnerships have helped increase diversity on the Hays, Kansas campus which now has nearly 300 Chinese students enrolled and a unique partnership with Northwest University for Nationalities/西北民族大学 in Lanzhou, Gansu, China for faculty exchange.Learn more about our international partnerships for faculty and students, visit //www.fhsu.edu/osp/international-partnerships/
