Tea break! Sir Ian McKellen emerges in a three piece suit sipping on warm drink while filming Mr. Holmes movie
It might have been balmy in London on Monday.
But that didn't stop legendary actor Sir Ian McKellen from downing a hot cup of tea between takes for the highly-anticipated crime drama Mr. Holmes.
The 75-year-old looked dapper dressed in character as the iconic detective, Sherlock Holmes.

Stepping out in a thick brown three piece suit, complete with a waistcoat insert chain, crisp white shirt and a patterned tie, the star was in good spirits as he sipped on his drink.

Set in post-war Britain in 1947, the movie finds a retired Sherlock Holmes in his twilight years at 93 living in a secluded sea side farmhouse in Sussex with his housekeeper, played by actress Laura Linney, and her son, who happens to be an aspiring detective.
The flick is based around the 2005 book, A Slight Trick Of The Mind by author Mitch Cullin, and follows Sherlock as he looks back on his dramatic life and tries to solve one more mystery, despite his ailing mind.

Despite his illustrious career, there’s no slowing down Sir Ian – he’s received critical acclaim for his role as Magneto in X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which smashed records grossing over $736 million, and he’s also just wrapped filming for The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies, reprising his memorable role as Gandalf.
‘Over 70 actors have previously played Sherlock Holmes. Now he’s 93 years old and it’s my turn,’ he joked.
Earlier in the month, a good humoured Ian took to Twitter to update fans on his latest project.

While he’s more than comfortable gracing the silver screen,you won't catch him anywhere else.
‘I've been asked recently to do a number of things which are not to do with acting, particularly on television - presenting and so on - that's not what I really do best or what I want to do,’ he told Entertainment Weekly.
Adding: ‘I enjoy acting. I wouldn't want to become a TV bore, who turns up everywhere on chat shows and quiz shows and documentaries and so on. No, I think I'll stick to being an actor.’
