CJ E&M enewsWorld : Nancy LeeIt was a year in the making, and now we’re ready to announce whom our readers have declared the K-Pop Star of the Year!
Voting officially closed on our K-Pop Star of the Year event, where we asked you to vote for your favorite K-Pop star among a list of 12 nominees, all of whom won our K-Pop Star of the Month battles in 2012.
K-Pop’s top acts battled it out for the title of enewsWorld’s K-Pop Star of the Year, but TVXQ’s Max Changmin proved unstoppable, beating out the Wonder Girls, Big Bang, miss A, SISTAR, Girls’ Generation (SNSD), Yoona, Leeteuk, Donghae, Kim Jae Joong, B.A.P’s Zelo and Park Jung Min to take the title.
The other stars didn’t stand a chance as Max Changmin won by a landslide, gathering a combined total of 35,666 Likes, Tweets and shares through Facebook, Twitter and Weibo.
Kim Jae Joong’s fan following is not to be taken lightly, but the JYJ member had to settle for second place, garnering a combined total of 8,274 Likes, Tweets and shares. Meanwhile, B.A.P’s Zelo ranked third with 5,288 votes on SNS, while Leeteuk and Donghae earned 2,477 and 2,336 votes, respectively, to round out the Top 5.
TVXQ kept us on our toes in 2012 with hit Catch Me, and with new MC duties and scandals to quell, we can’t imagine Max Changmin slowing down in 2013.
Congratulations Max Changmin!
We′ll be announcing the winners of the giveaway on March 11, so stay tuned to see if you won!
